Many thanks! :) I am an entusiast regarding the subjects I choose for my art, and I hope that shows.

You got a real knack for designing creatures of goofy and silly shapes combined with somewhat realistic texture, with the Wonderland creatures and Fearsome Critters being the most obvious examples. And I enjoy how your style can invoke so many different moods in each drawing; some comedic while others are creepy or both. You´re great as an illustrator. :)

Speaking of funny creatures, I made a character inspired by your Roperite design. Do you think my design looks too much like yours?

Thank you for your kind words about my art :)
I didn't come up with the Roperite creature, but I added my own flourishes, shall we say. So I don't think your design is anything but in your very own style.

I'm relieved that my roperite design doesn't copy/plagiarize your version too much.
And I have just read your Fearsome Critters book. It's fun to see all those absurd things coming to life in your semi-realistic drawings. The most lively one must the Cactus Cat scene with its fine details and extra comedic look. The lynx-like look of the Sliver Cat just screams badass, and I enjoy the ridiculous alienness of the Tripedero. It was a little bit sad that your cool Whintosser picture wasn't featured in my book. And it would have been awesome to see a Squidgicum-Squee swallowing itself.
In short, you made me so fascinated by Fearsome Critters that I want to include these folklore creatures into my sci-fi setting. Next time I'm gonna draw a Critter, which cool weirdo would you like to see as a character in a story?

I have to confess that the Hodag, which might not be the weirdest fearsome critter, is one of my big favorites. It's something about it's attitude that I like.
