Love how it's torso looks like some kind of Venus Fly-trap, wouldn't want to get hugged by that! Now I need to look up clips form this movie. Great job :w00t:

Thanks! :)
Yes, that's one very love-less hug. It's a crazy movie, so do look it up.

If you get this close to this guy, then you'll sleep forever.

Well on the one hand sudden death would be frightful, but on the other at least one wouldn't have to keep seeing that THING in nightmares across the years yet to come ...

that monster looks nasty. I think it might be too nasty for Dr. Who.  Imagine being caught in its ribs!  yow!
One of the Dr. Who monsters i thought was particularly horrible was the Fendahleen creatures. Like A  slug, with a mouth full of writhing tentacles.

This guy is kind of Fendahleenish. And he managed to kill off Donald Pleasence with a rib hug, so yes -nasty!

I have never watched The Mutations/Freakmaker (always wanted to), but I remember showing a picture of this thing to a friend and he laughed hysterically at its face.

The effects are 1970's Doctor Who-level (which can be an aquired taste for some), but Donald Pleasence plays a mad scientist, and Tom Baker his deformed henchman. That alone is a reason to seek it out.

And I forgot to mention Julie Ege, as well as some other fine women with very little on.

Well you defiantly have my attention with this lovely creature. I swear plant like monsters are sadly very rare. What a shame.

This monster, and the movie he appears in, are now both quite forgotten it seems. It's pretty good little monster movie. And yes; we haven't seen many plant creatures in media, though there are some neat examples here and there.

Biollante being the most obvious. Then again that makes the ones that do exists all the more special.

This isn't the only weird creature. There are man-eating plants, other strange makeups, and also some real people with interesting talents and bodies.

hold up. This is actually what the rest of the monster looked like? I only know it from that awesome Basil Gogo's Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine cover. Don't think I ever saw the movie tho. Man I love that cover tho. And this is great either way.

Yes, he hugs you with his plant ribs and sucks you to death (I guess). I saw this movie a looong time ago, in the shape of a pretty crappy VHS copy. I wasn't too impressed then, but revisiting it in later years, it's actually grown on me. There's lots of crazy stuff in it, from giant man-eating plants to circus freaks.

Thanks :) It's pretty neat monster, though the movie itself is very low budget.
