He is the greatest swordsman, and out to prove it! I always remember this dragon because it had such a different design.

The design of this monster helped me buy the idea that we were in another world.

As dragons go, this is probably one of the more original designs in a major film. My brothers and I got quite a laugh from it's, er, explosive demise.

It's a cool monster, with a cool death.

Madmartigan! Badass guy, isn’t he? The Greatest Swordsman thar Ever Lived!

He could quite possibly be the greatest swordsman that ever lived. He's at least able to whip everybody's ass in this story.

Yes he could. But he’s on a tight competition though: Iñigo Montoya, Connor McLeod... they could aspire to that title too... and only considering the last 80’s and first 90’s!

It is! I like the overall look of Willow's fantasy world. It's kind of medieval Europe, but with influences from other cultures.

Yeah. If anything, Eborisk feels like a very European dragon, like one of the odd, mammalian ones you could find in a painting or manuscript from the medieval era.

When I make my own monsters for my stop-mo projects I often look at medieval or Renaissance illustrations for inspiration. They had some wild ideas back then, very different from the trends of today.

Or, since it's technically a dragon, maybe you'd prefer this one

I totally loved this mutated CHUD-like, two-headed dragon when I saw the movie as a kid. What I didn't know was that there was a very unsuccessful toy line that included Eborsisk (great dragon name).

The Willow toys were very cool, but since the movie didn't make a huge splash, the toys never did.
The Eborsisk was named after the two US film critics Siskel and Ebert -some office humor there among the effects people :)

They surely are ugly. Like if an elephant's  trunk developed eyes and a mouth.  Can you think of other ugly dragons?

Well, I can see where you're coming from with it.  I thought the Fell beasts the Nazgul were riding were nasty looking, but these things are disgusting. And you say Willow is good?
